The American company Proterra Inc. has reported that its Catalyst E2 Max (Electric Bus) has run 1,102.2 miles (1,772.21 kilometers) on one charge. Proterra's Electric Bus made a new record in case of single charging. This gives the electric vehicles an opportunity to compete with petrol and diesel trains. Bus and truck companies are currently launching a large number of electric models of light and medium duty. This is just 40 feet (12.19 meters) long in Proterra and has set so much distance after a single charging with low speed. Matt Horton, Chief Commercial Officer of the company, said that the cost of the Proterra bus is approximately 7.5 million dollars. He told that the operating cost of this bus is very low. During the testing, this bus of Proterra covered 15 miles (24 kilometers) in one hour. Proterra's Catalyst E2 Max has a 660kWh battery. At the same time, Tesla's Model SP100D has a 100KWh battery and it runs 315 miles (506 kilometers) after single charging. At the same time, Hyundai has recently launched the Electric City bus, which has 256KWh of battery and it runs about 410 kilometers after a single charge.
