Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy has appealed to President Ram Nath Kovind to recall Bedi amidst an ongoing altercation with Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi. Narayanaswamy said, I have submitted a memorandum in this regard to the President who came to Puducherry on 23 December. It has been told that the Lieutenant Governor is working in an autocratic manner. She is overturning the provisions of the Constitution by misusing the post. Apart from her rights, she is interfering in the daily work of the government. She is trying to run a parallel government, which is against the Constitution. For your information, let us tell you that even in early December this year, Narayanasamy had said that he contempt of court against the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory Kiran Bedi for allegedly obstructing the implementation of the decisions of the elected government. Will file In his statement, he alleged that Bedi was stopping many welfare schemes despite the Madras High Court order on 30 April this year. The High Court had said that Bedi should not interfere in the functioning of the government. The court gave this order in a petition filed by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister. The petition requested to stop Bedi from interfering. Narayanasamy said that he had decided to appoint an officer as the Election Commissioner for the Union Territory but Bedi also questioned the decision. It was said that she does not even know about the administrative procedures and has been rejecting every decision of the state cabinet.
