Support of 'Farmer's Movement' in Delhi, lathi charge on farmers as soon as the government is formed in Punjab, AAP trapped badly?

Amritsar: During the farmers' movement in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was always standing in support of the farmers. At the same time, when the AAP government is in Punjab today, the administration is facing opposition from the farmers. Farmers under the banner of BKU (Ekta Ugrahan) protest in front of the District Administrative Building, in Muktsar, Punjab. They are demanding strict action against the collector who ordered the lathi charge on the farmers.

The farmers are demanding that the damage caused to their crops due to pink bollworms should be provided compensation and the cases registered against them for clashing with the revenue officials should be returned. On Tuesday, an FIR was registered by the police against at least nine farmer leaders and 150 others in the Lambi case. After this, the farmers blocked the highway in Lambi.

Gurdas Singh Pasha, an accused in the Lambi case, has said 'We were upset with the Naib Tehsildar, and not with anyone else. We had asked the rest of the employees to leave, but all of them were not going. After this, the police said that there is an order from the collector and started raining sticks. We want the FIR to be quashed and action taken against the DC. Along with this, compensation for our crops should also be given.
