CM Captain Amarinder Singh is going to present a special resolution against CAA in the Assembly

There has been anger in many states against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The states have refused to accept this law. After the opposition to this law, now after Punjab, the Punjab government can also bring a resolution in the Assembly. In order to increase the reserved seats for another ten years in the session of the assembly which begins on January 16, only the Act passed in the Lok Sabha has to be stamped. Proposals can be brought against CAA and NRC in this.

A high official of the government has confirmed this regarding this matter. A final decision can be taken in this cabinet meeting to be held today. Two days ago, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had asked the Chief Ministers of all Congress ruled states to unanimously pass the resolution in the Assembly on this issue.

For your information, let us tell you that the Chief Minister of Punjab has been opposing Captain Amarinder Singh from the very beginning. He reacted strongly to the statements of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chauhan and Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad last week. Captain Amarinder Singh has written a two-page letter to the Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad regarding CAA. Captain wrote in the letter, 'The Center cannot force us to implement such a non-constitutional act. No one can be discriminated against in the name of religion, nor does the Constitution of India allow us to do so.'
