Patiala: A case of spoliation of the innocent has come to light for the second time in a month in the Patiala district of Punjab. After the shooting of a dog in Patada, two women tied the dog to a rope behind their scooty and dragged him badly in the New Century Enclave under Thana Civil Line. The dog has died during the brutal incident. Police have registered a case against the two unidentified women on the complaint of an NGO worker. The video of the incident is also going viral on social media. The accused women could not be identified till the time of writing the news. NGO activist Sushma Singh Rathore resident of Darshana Colony has lodged a police complaint. On June 20, at around 6.15 pm, they received information that two unidentified women were dragging a dog with a rope behind their scooty near The New Century Enclave. When the complainant along with his accomplices reached the spot and started stopping unidentified women, the accused woman opened the dog rope and fled from the spot after seeing a crowd of people gathering. The dog later died during treatment. Police have registered a case against unidentified women on the complaint. Earlier, a case of a young man driving a dog sleeping in the street at Thana Urban Estate in Patiala has come to light. Such cruelty with the mook animals can't be tolerated.
