New Delhi: After losing the match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Hardik Pandya on Tuesday said that he had decided to bat after winning the toss to face tough conditions. He said that a score of 170 runs on this pitch would have been competitive, but due to continuous loss of wickets, the team could not make a big score. Batting first, Gujarat team could score only 143 runs for eight wickets. In response, Punjab won the target in 16 overs at the loss of two wickets.
Shikhar Dhawan contributed 62 not out, Bhanuka Rajapaksa 40 and Liam Livingstone contributed 30 not out for Punjab.
