Audi and Porsche now appear in Formula 1 racing. For the past one year, there were constant rumors about this, but on Monday, during an event in Wolfsburg, Germany, Volkswagen Group Chief Executive Officer Herbert Diess confirmed this. He has said that Audi and Porsche have been allowed to enter Formula 1 for the Volkswagen Group.

Dias has said that after a long discussion, the brand's board of directors now believes that joining Formula 1 is going to be a cost-benefit. While Audi is expected to try to buy out the existing McLaren, Porsche will aim to foray into an engine maker. According to Dias, the eyes are now on the changes to the rules planned for 2026. In future, new cars are planned to run on synthetic fuel.

Porsche is already investing heavily in synthetic fuels to boost the longevity of its 911 car. The rule change will also mean that all teams are starting from the same position, giving Porsche and Audi a better chance of being competitive.
