Congress MPs including Rahul Gandhi join protest against agricultural laws on Parliament premises

New Delhi: The government is constantly being targeted by the opposition in the monsoon session of Parliament. Congress MPs staged a protest near the Gandhi statue before the parliament session began on Thursday. Congress party MPs protested against the agricultural laws brought by the central government, which was attended by former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi.

Tell you that today farmers agitators are starting a protest at Jantar Mantar against the agricultural law, where a Parliament will be organized by the farmers. Farmers say that as long as the monsoon session of Parliament continues, farmers will remain at Jantar Mantar. It may be recalled that three agricultural laws were introduced by the Central Government last year, which are opposed by many farmers' organizations. Protesters have been gathering at Jantar Mantar since today amid the ongoing farmers' agitation on the borders of Delhi.

The Congress party has been demanding the central government to withdraw all three laws from the start. The issue is being raised in both houses of Parliament. The monsoon session is mainly abuzz with the Pegasus espionage issue, as well as the issue of agricultural law.
