New Delhi: The monsoon session of the country's Parliament is set to begin from July 19 and will continue till August 13. Meanwhile, it is reported that BJP and Congress may change two key posts in both houses of Parliament. Sources said BJP is likely to nominate Piyush Goyal as the leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha while Congress may take Rahul Gandhi instead of Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary in the Lok Sabha. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard. The Congress Parliamentary Strategy Group will meet on Wednesday evening to take a final decision on the party leader in the Lok Sabha. At the same time, the meeting is also expected to discuss key issues to be taken up in the monsoon session of Parliament. The Congress on Tuesday demanded relief to the people by reducing the prices of petroleum products and reducing GST rates on essential commodities, accusing the Central government of failing to contain inflation and taking advantage of the helplessness of the people. Senior party leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram also said that Congress will take up the issue of inflation in the monsoon session of Parliament starting July 19 and demand a full discussion. The BJP will appoint Thaawarchand Gehlot as the Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha since he was appointed governor of Karnataka. Piyush Goyal has major departments in the government and has been a member of the Rajya Sabha since 2010. Monsoon Session: Who will be Congress leader in Lok Sabha?
