Ram and Rashtra: Acharya Pramod Krishnam's Reaction to Expulsion from Congress

Lucknow: Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who was ousted from the Congress Party due to his anti-party comments, reiterated his stance on Sunday, asserting that "there can be no compromise."

In a post on [platform], he stated, "Ram and Rashtra... But there can be no compromise." An official statement issued on Saturday announced the Congress President's approval of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee's proposal to expel Pramod Krishnam from the party for a period of six years. The decision was made in response to allegations of indiscipline and repeated public criticisms against the party.

Earlier this month, Krishnam met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and extended an invitation for him to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Shri Kalki Dham scheduled for February 19. Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the Prime Minister responded, stating, "It is a privilege for me to participate in this sacred occasion associated with faith and devotion."

In a separate incident last month, Krishnam criticized opposition leaders for their decision to abstain from the January 22 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, deeming it "unfortunate."

At that time, he emphasized, "Not even a Christian, a priest, or a Muslim can decline the invitation of Lord Ram. Ram is the soul of India. Without Ram, India can't even be imagined."
