T20 World Cup: Rashid Khan creates history

Abu Dhabi: Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has achieved a big milestone in T20 cricket. Rashid completed his 100 wickets in T20 Internationals during the Super-12 match against Pakistan on Friday. Rashid, 23, has now become the fastest 100-wicket-taker in T20 Internationals. Rashid Khan completed his century of wickets by taking Hafeez in the hands of Gulbadin Naib on the first ball of the 15th over in the Pakistani innings. Rashid has taken 100 wickets in the 53rd International.

The big thing is that Rashid also holds the record for the fastest 100 wickets in ODI International. Rashid completed his 100 wickets in his 44th ODI match in 2018. Earlier, former Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga held the record for the fastest 100 wickets in T20 Internationals. Malinga took 100 wickets in 76 T20 Internationals. Tim Southee took 100 wickets in 82 T20 Internationals. Shakib Al Hasan had to play 83 matches for 100 wickets

Bangladeshi player Shakib Al Hasan tops the t20 international cricket with the highest number of wickets. Shakib has taken 117 wickets in 94 matches so far. Sri Lanka's legendary pacer Lasith Malinga is second in the list with 107 wickets in 84 matches. Rashid Khan has now moved up to the third spot with 101 wickets. New Zealand pacer Tim Southee is fourth in the list with 100 wickets in 84 matches.
