Regional parties cannot form the government without congress help: HD Gowda

Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda on Sunday said that after the Lok Sabha polls, regional parties alone cannot form the government on their own and will have to get help from the Congress. JDS chief from the journalists at Tumkur said that there are differences between several regional parties but they believe that they cannot make the government alone on their own without the help of the Congress. Deve Gowda is contesting from Tukkuru.

Deve Gowda said that if regional parties want to end the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, then they have to set aside their differences. He said that if regional parties want to end Modi's rule then they should come with the National Party Congress. Modi is destroying the country's political system. In this context, he gave an example of Karnataka, where JDS combine with Congress to keep BJP out of power.

In response to a question, the former Prime Minister said that he is not contesting for any political ambition, but wants to contribute to the country in this difficult situation. The former Prime Minister also offered to help all regional parties to bring together a strong coalition.
