New Delhi: Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has impressed cricketing legends on the back of his performance. Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is also named on the list. Yuvraj has said that he sees Pant as the future captain of the Indian team. He attributed this to Pant's mental strength. The way Pant has proved himself at an early age certainly gives him a lot of praise. Everything was not so simple for Pant when he tried to secure his place in Team India. He was also constantly criticized for casually losing his wicket and playing some unnecessary shots. The 2020 edition of IPL proved difficult for them. However, he completely changed his image when he toured Australia with Team India. He faced the hosts' bowlers quite strongly on the basis of his batting and impressed a lot. Yuvraj, who was part of the team's two-time (2007 T20 and 2011 ODI) World Cup wins, feels Pant has matured a lot and appears to be a suitable option to become India's captain in the future. Yuvi feels Pant can be compared to great wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist. Talking to the media, he said, 'If I see anyone, it is Rishabh Pant, who himself likes Adam Gilchrist and wants to change the course of the match with his game. Gilchrist came onto the field and reversed the course of the game in Test cricket. I think Rishabh Pant can do the same.''
