Deoghar: The rescue operation being carried out after the Trikuta Mountain Ropeway accident in Deoghar, Jharkhand, has finally come to an end. The operation lasted for a full 45 hours and the army saved 46 lives. Four people were also killed in the accident. On Monday, 33 persons were rescued in a joint operation being carried out by the Army, Air Force, ITBP, and NDRF. Today, 13 people were rescued. Even today, a woman fell down from the hill and lost her life. On Sunday, hundreds of tourists had come to Deoghar for the purpose of worshipping and visiting Ram Navami. Due to this, a trolley of the ropeway was coming down, which collided with the trolley going upwards. Due to this, many trolleys were stuck on top, in which 48 persons were on board. The accident occurred at 4 pm on Sunday. Thereafter, the rescue operation was launched. The Deoghar ropeway accident has been taken suo motu cognizance of by the Jharkhand High Court. The court has also issued orders for investigation in the case. The matter will come up for hearing on April 26. The state government will have to submit a detailed inquiry report before the court before that. After the accident, NDRF and the police team reached the spot, but it was very difficult to carry out the rescue operation at an altitude of 2500 feet. Thereafter, the Army was called in, but as per the need, the help of the Air Force was taken later. The Air Force had deployed two helicopters in this operation.
