New Delhi, India: According to persons acquainted with the situation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is slated to visit India this week, with the main focus on discussions on a payment arrangement for New Delhi's procurement of oil and military hardware from Moscow. After a two-day visit to China, Lavrov is set to travel to India on Thursday or Friday, according to reports. Details of Lavrov's travel to India are being finalised, according to the persons mentioned above. It would be Russia's first high-level visit to India since its military incursion against Ukraine began on February 24. Neither the Ministry of External Affairs nor the Russian Foreign Ministry have issued an official statement on the scheduled visit.
