Pragya Thakur tenders apology in Lok Sabha for her Godse's praise, demands Rahul Gandhi's apology

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat has apologized for her statement in the Lok Sabha about Nathuram Godse, the murderer of Mahatma Gandhi. On 29 November in the Lok Sabha, Sadhvi Pragya has said that her point has been misrepresented. She also said that she respects Mahatma Gandhi and is sorry if anyone has hurt her statement.

After this, Pragya has said without naming former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi that a member of the Lok Sabha has publicly called her a terrorist, which is unfair and illegal.  She added, "A member of the House referred to me as terrorist. It is an attack on my dignity. No charges against me have been proven in court. It is an attack on me as a woman, a Parliamentarian and a sanyaasi."

Sadhvi Pragya said that I was physically and mentally tortured. I was humiliated by attacking my honor. Earlier, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur met BJP Working President JP Nadda, party general secretary Bhupendra Yadav and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi. In the meeting held in Parliament House, the big leaders of BJP asked Pragya Thakur to present his case.
