Bhopal: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat, who was mired in controversy by calling Nathuram Godse, the murderer of Mahatma Gandhi, a 'patriot', will make a statement in Parliament today at 12 noon. Earlier, Pragya Thakur gave a clarification while meeting top BJP leaders. Sadhvi Pragya met BJP Working President JP Nadda, Party General Secretary Bhupendra Yadav and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi.
In this meeting held in the Parliament premises, the BJP High Command has asked Sadhvi to present her stand in Parliament. After this, Sadhvi has decided to give a statement in Parliament. Sources say that Sadhvi Pragya will say in her clarification that her statement was about the martyr Udham Singh and yet if anyone is hurt by her statement then she apologizes.
Let us tell you that during the debate in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Pragya Thakur gave clarification on the controversy of defending Nathuram Godse, who allegedly killed Mahatma Gandhi, as a patriot. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat has said that he interrupted MP A Raja when Udham Singh was mentioned, not Godse.
