After Ayodhya Verdict: Shia Waqf Board is ready to claim five-acre land

There is confusion over the five acres of land after the Sunni Waqf Board's Supreme Court refused to file a reconsideration petition on the land in Ayodhya. In view of this, the Shia Waqf Board has started preparing for the claim.

In a meeting of Shia Waqf Board on Wednesday, it was decided that if the Sunni Waqf Board refuses to take five acres of land for any reason, then it will claim for it. The board can bring a proposal to build a hospital there. Five of the total seven members attended the meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Shia Waqf Board President Wasim Rizvi.

According to the media report, all the members were told that the case of the Shia Waqf Board, which had lost the case in 1946, was appealed to the Supreme Court after 71 years. The Supreme Court had rejected this appeal due to late filing. It was also decided in the meeting that the Board will not file a review petition against the decision of the Supreme Court.

Apart from this, Board President Wasim Rizvi said that everyone believes that the decision given by the Supreme Court is final. The end of the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute is in the national interest. For this reason, there is no point in filing any review petition. We do not agree with the decision of the Muslim Personal Law Board to file a review petition. The decision of five acres of land has also been taken unanimously.
