Kolkata: After the announcement of the results of the by-elections in three assembly seats in West Bengal politics, the uproar again intensified. Workers of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have come face to face once again. Excited TMC activists celebrated in a tremendous manner in North 24 Parganas district after winning the by-elections in three seats.
BJP alleges that TMC workers tried to capture four BJP offices in Panpur, Naihati, Madral and Barrackpore after the celebrations. According to the BJP allegations, TMC workers painted the party's name on the BJP offices and took the BJP flag and put the TMC flag on it. However, there has been no news of a clash between the supporters of both the parties.
Since the time of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, several incidents of clashes have occurred between the ruling TMC and the ruling BJP workers at the centre. BJP MP Arjun Singh was also attacked, TMC workers were accused for these attacks too. Till now dozens of supporters of both parties have also died in violent clashes.
