New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) in the Upper House has instructed all its MPs to be present in the House full time from Monday. The SP has issued a 3-line whip on Friday. In the Rajya Sabha, SP Chief Whip Ravi Verma has told all MPs that several important bills are likely to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha next week, so the presence of all MPs is mandatory. It may be mentioned that the SP currently has 12 MPs in the Rajya Sabha. Significant bills like triple talaq and UAPA are likely to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha next week, with the opposition still gearing up. According to SP sources, the party wants to prevent the passage of the triple talaq bill in the Rajya Sabha. That's why the party has issued these whips. The triple talaq bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, which needs to be passed by the Rajya Sabha for legal recognition. But the bill may get stuck due to the NDA not having a majority in the Rajya Sabha. However, it is the BJP's endeavour to pass the triple talaq bill through floor management from the Rajya Sabha this time.
