Uddhav Thackeray is an Indian politician who heads the Hindu nationalist party Shiv Sena. He is the son of Balasaheb Thackeray, who founded the Shiv Sena. Earlier, he handled a Marathi daily 'Saheam' of the Shiv Sena. He also manages the party's election activities. When the party succeeded in the elections to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in 2002, Uddhav Thackeray was appointed the party's acting president since January 2003.
Shiv Sena's current chief Uddhav Thackeray was born on July 27, 1960. He is the son of Shiv Sena ex-president and Supreme Leader Bal Thackeray. He was appointed As Shiv Sena Chief in 2004. Prior to the beginning of his political career, Uddhav was interested in art and the environment and his talent can still be gauged by looking at pictures of wildlife. They are very good photographers.
This separation led to the split of two groups of shiv sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) vote supporters in the 2009 elections. Apart from his political career, Uddhav Thackeray is fond of wild life photography and organises exhibitions and environmental events. He has several photo books that highlight the people of the state, life and heritage.
