'Mulayam Yadav's picture should be printed on notes..', demands SP leader

Lucknow: A new debate has erupted after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's demand to print the picture of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on the country's currency notes. Meanwhile, a Samajwadi Party (SP) leader has demanded that the picture of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the party and who recently left this world, be printed on the notes.

SP State Secretary Shamsher Malik tweeted that if the Government of India is considering putting a new picture or change on the currency note, then the picture of the Late Mulayam Singh Yadav should be put on it. Shamsher Malik said that Mulayam Singh Yadav has been a universal leader. Shamsher Malik said that 'If the Government of India is considering to put a new picture on the note or change it, then we socialists demand that the photo of respected leader Mulayam Singh Yadav should be put on the note. This will be a true tribute to Netaji. The whole country will respect Netaji's picture on the note.'

Let us inform you that earlier, MLA Nawab Iqbal Mehmood from Sambhal of SP had demanded to confer Bharat Ratna to Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mehmood had said that Mulayam was the leader of the country. Leaders of every party respected him and still do. He worked to connect everyone. Such a person should be given 'Bharat Ratna'. He had asked PM Narendra Modi to consider this.
