Sarbananda Sonowal Commends Modi's Leadership, Citing Development and Peace in the North-East

Guwahati: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's extensive visits to the North-East, emphasizing his dedication to the region's welfare. Sonowal praised Modi for achieving in nine years what Congress couldn't in 60 years, leading to increased positivity among the residents of the eight North-Eastern states. Sonowal credited the development and peace in the region to the good governance and dedicated service of the Modi-led government.

Responding to queries about the possibility of a third term for PM Modi, Sonowal expressed confidence in the people's support, stating that the nation has made it clear that Modi will serve as PM for the third time. He pointed to the recent election victory as evidence of the public's endorsement of Modi's leadership.

In a related development, the Central government informed the Rajya Sabha about the Krishi Udan Scheme 2.0, covering 58 airports nationwide, with a specific focus on North Eastern, hilly, and tribal regions. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, General VK Singh, highlighted the scheme's commitment to transporting perishable food products, particularly from hilly areas, North Eastern States, and tribal areas.

The Ministry of Development of the North-East Region previously shared year-wise data on PM Modi's visits to the region, underscoring his consistent engagement and commitment to the North-East.
