Schools reopen In Tamil Nadu, Govt issues strict Covid protocol

Chennai: In Tamil Nadu, schools have reopened, and the government has issued a rigorous Covid guideline. Tamil Nadu schools from kindergarten to grade 12 resumed today  after being closed due to the third wave of the Covid-19 illness. The state Department of Health, on the other hand, has mandated strict Covid procedures to be enforced in schools.

In a circular issued on Monday, the Public Health Department stated that all teachers and non-teaching personnel in schools must receive two vaccine doses. In addition, eligible students must have received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine.

Schools and colleges are required to follow Covid-19 guidelines, which include wearing masks, maintaining social distance, washing hands with soap water, and sanitising hands on a regular basis. The state Department of Health has asked school administrators to disinfect campuses twice daily. Before entering the campus, students and staff should be inspected, and anyone who exhibits symptoms of a fever or cold should be subjected to an RT-PCR test.

Teachers and kids in containment zones have been told not to go to school until the Covid situation improves, according to the Health Department. Pregnant ladies and older personnel with comorbidities, for example, should exercise special caution when visiting schools.
