Tripura's schools and other educational institutes reopened on Monday after the state government lifted the suspension of physical education classes while adhering to COVID-19 standards.

Following new Tripura Education Department directions, classes have resumed in full force across the state, with record attendance recorded on the first day after a 20-day hiatus. Students reunited with friends, shedding the drawing-room dullness and mobile screen instruction, creating a cheerful atmosphere in the classrooms.

"The courses have been started with full vigour and all sorts of COVID-19 norms are being followed to at the school grounds," said Subrata Kr Bhattacharjee, Head Master of Sidhu Bihar Higher Secondary School.

The students have been told that they must behave in a Covid-like manner while in class. He added that the state government's supplementary rules are also being followed.
