Bangalore- Karnataka: Schools and institutions in Bengaluru reopened on January 31, according to the state administration. "All classes are operating in schools as of Monday," Education Minister BC Nagesh said, "with the strict adherence of Covid-19 acceptable behaviour and protocol." The state's educational institutions had previously been closed due to an alarming increase in the number of Covid-19 cases.

The night curfew will be lifted on Monday as part of updated guidelines. Government offices will be able to operate at full capacity, as would hotels, restaurants, clubs, pubs, and bars, however theatres, auditoriums, and multiplexes will be limited to 50% capacity. Gyms and swimming pools can also operate at half capacity.

Meanwhile, from February 1, schools and colleges in Tamil Nadu, Pune, Haryana, and Rajasthan will reopen their doors for physical education lessons. Several safety measures, such as staggered entry, usage of face masks, sanitizers, frequent handwashing, and respiratory etiquette, have been made mandatory for the protection of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff visiting schools and universities.
