AHMEDABAD; On Tuesday evening, a resident of Godrej Garden City and father of a nine-year-old girl lodged a criminal complaint against the person for making physical advances on his daughter, a Class 4 student, in the building lift as the student was returning home from school," Chandkheda Police Inspector V.S. Vanzara said in a statement to the media. The elderly citizen had engaged in physical contact with the girl against her will, as per CCTV footage from the camera situated in the lift, which was obtained as a result of the police investigation into the complaint, the officer said. Bhanupratapsinh Rana, a 62-year-old man who lives in the same apartment building, has been named as the accused. The accused is a parent of two sons and a daughter who is retired.
