Visakhapatnam: A very surprising case has come to light from Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Here a drunken man cut the neck of the man who caught him instead of the goat during the sacrifice. The victim died during treatment in the hospital. The police has arrested the accused of murder.
This incident is from Valasapalle in Chittoor. On the occasion of Sankranti, a sacrifice was performed at the Yallama temple here. The accused was sacrificing Chalapathi goats. 35-year-old Suresh was holding the goat during the sacrifice. Then suddenly a drunk Chalapathy cut off Suresh's neck instead of the goat. Police have confirmed that Chalapathy was intoxicated. Instead of the goat, he hit the weapon on Suresh's neck.
Suresh was taken to the local government hospital in Madanapalle in an injured condition. Here the doctors declared Suresh dead. Chalapathy has been arrested by the police from the spot. Police said that the deceased Suresh was married and has two children. The police is also probing from this angle whether Chalapathy had any old enmity with Suresh.
