MK Stalin also made a tweet in this regard on Sunday, writing in his tweet that, "Taking 82-year-old former Union Minister and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah into custody under public safety law without any basis on our democratic traditions And shameful for constitutional values. I demand his immediate release. "

Let us tell you that since the repeal of Article 370 and Article 35A of the Constitution giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, Farooq Abdullah has been under house arrest under the PSA. On Saturday, his detention was extended by another three months. Several political parties including Congress, DMK, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam are demanding the release of Farooq Abdullah. Even in the winter session of Parliament, the issue of the detention of the former CM was fiercely raised.
