Forever indebted to MS Dhoni, Fleming for keeping faith in me: Shane Watson

Sydney: Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has said that trusting the ability of the players is the secret of the success of the Chennai Super Kings team. Please tell that Watson was part of the Rajasthan Royals team to become the first champion in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has also played for the title-winning Chennai Super Kings in 2018.

Watson, speaking on Chennai Super Kings' Instagram Live, said, "You don't score in 10 matches and still you remain in the team. Thank you MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming for trusting me last season. " He said, "If there had been another team, you would have been dropped from the team. But thank you that you are still in the team."

Let us tell you that Watson played a stormy inning of 117 runs in just 57 balls in the final match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018. In this, he hit 11 fours and 8 sixes and played an important role in making Chennai the champion. He also scored an excellent inning of 80 off 59 balls against Mumbai Indians in the final of last season.
