All India Football Federation (AIFF) President Praful Patel said that the under-17 women are in discussion with FIFA to finalize the new dates of the World Cup as well as to maintain the original age criteria of the participating players. The tournament was to be held in India in November which has been postponed due to Kovid-19.
He tweeted, 'I am happy to inform that we are working with FIFA to set a new and earliest possible date to host the Under-17 Women's World Cup. Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and FIFA are working to finalize the new dates keeping health and safety a priority.
