Islamabad: Former Pakistan fast bowler and known as Rawalpindi Express, Shoaib Akhtar said that former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni should have retired only after the ODI World Cup last year and he does not know that this wicket-keeper batsman Why has this decision been kept hanging for so long.

Akhtar said that he hopes that Dhoni, 38, will be given a good farewell, even though it is not yet known when the games closed due to Corona will be able to resume. Akhtar while talking to PTI from Islamabad said, 'This player has served cricket to its full potential. He should say goodbye to cricket with all due respect. I do not know why he took his retirement decision so long. He should have retired only after the 2019 World Cup.

Shoaib Akhtar further said, 'If I had been in his place, I would have retired by now. I could play three to four years in shorter formats, but I announced retirement (after the World Cup 2011), because I was not able to give 100 percent to the game. So why wait for the verdict.
