Lucknow: Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSP) founder Shivpal Yadav on Thursday (September 1) announced the formation of a new organization for the Yadav community. Shivpal Yadav has said that this organization will fight for social justice. Shivpal Yadav has said that the Yadukul Renaissance Mission was not for or against any political party. Shivpal Yadav will be the patron of Yadukul Renaissance Mission, while former Sambhal MP DP Yadav has been made its head, while the writer Vishwatma is a founding member of the Mission. Shivpal Yadav has said in a press conference, 'We will soon form a unit of the mission in the state and the whole country.' He said the issues that the new organization is going to raise include the demand for a caste census and the formation of the Ahir (Yadav) regiment. Yadavs are considered the core vote bank of the Samajwadi Party (SP). The setting up of the Yadukul Renaissance Mission ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is being seen as an attempt to woo the Yadav community. Shivpal Yadav had recently distanced himself from his nephew and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. Shivpal Yadav had also floated the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia in 2018 amid the ongoing tussle with the SP. Will Congress take action against every leader who met 'Azad'?
