Shivraj govt reverses Kamal Nath government's decision, notification issued

Bhopal: In the run-up to panchayat elections, the Shivraj government has made a major statement. In reality, the Shivraj government has overturned the Kamal Nath government's decision to cancel the delimitation of panchayats where elections have not been held in the previous year. Yes, if the storey is to be believed, all such districts, districts, and village panchayats would henceforth be chosen under the previous way.

According to reports, this approach will not be applicable in panchayats whose lands have been annexed by a city. Not only that, but the Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Raj and Gram Swaraj (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021, was announced late last Sunday evening.

According to reports, there is a provision for delimitation of Panchayats prior to elections, which means that panchayats where delimitation has occurred but elections have not been performed within a year of its publication will be regarded cancelled. As a result, a system will be in place that existed before to the delimitation. Furthermore, reservations will stay the same as they were previously. Let ys tell you that in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, 137 new panchayats were founded, 103 in Narsinghpur, and roughly 80 in Rajgarh, while 25 panchayats were abolished in Sagar, 19 in Khargone, and 13 in Shivpuri.

Talking about the Kamal Nath government, this government had created about 1200 new panchayats in 2019 by delimitation from the district to the gram panchayats, while eliminating another 102 panchayats. Let me tell you that there are about 23,835 Gram Panchayats in Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, 904 Zilla Panchayat members and 6035 Janapada members represent the three-tier Panchayat.
