Kolkata: After winning 18 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be extremely excited. Former Madhya Pradesh CM and veteran BJP leader Shivraj Singh has also reached West Bengal to further strengthen the BJP's grip. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who arrived in Howrah town in West Bengal on Wednesday, will make the BJP's membership drive more effective. If BJP sources agree, 25 lakh people from all over the province have joined the BJP as new members this year. In the present era, the number of old and new members has reached an innumerable 50 lakh. It is bound to say that after the success of the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP is now making all-out efforts to reach the booths in Bengal. According to BJP sources, the BJP is now trying to put more emphasis on increasing its membership. The BJP claims that the membership drive was launched by the party on July 6. Within just 21 days, 50 lakh members of the new old got membership of the BJP. The BJP is also treating it as a big success.
