Bhopal: Senior Congress leader Vijayalakshmi Sadho on Friday attacked CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for running a stall to collect toys and other items with public support for the children of anganwadis in Madhya Pradesh. Terming the campaign as a "gimmick", he said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan can leave behind megastar Amitabh Bachchan in terms of acting. Vijayalakshmi Sadho told reporters in Indore, "Shivraj Singh Chouhan should be concerned about malnutrition of children. But it is condemnable that even after being the CM of the state for a long time, he is doing the gimmick to collect toys from the common people by running a stall. Vijayalakshmi Sadho, who was the culture minister in the previous Kamal Nath government, said, "Shivraj Singh Chouhan should go to Mumbai. He may also surpass Amitabh Bachchan in acting. ' It may be recalled that Shivraj Singh Chouhan had launched the 'Adopt n Anganwadi' (Adopt an Anganwadi) campaign from Bhopal on May 24 and was seen collecting toys, books and other items for the children of anganwadis from the general public by running a stall in the state capital. The CM had also taken to the streets of Indore on May 31 as part of the campaign and had donated Rs 8.5 crore from the city as well as collected toys, sports items, clothes, chairs and other items worth lakhs of rupees from the city.
