Shiv Sena slams Modi-Shah for TMC's victory in Bengal

Mumbai: Counting of votes is underway in West Bengal. Seeing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lagging behind, Shiv Sena has taken a dig at the BJP.  The party has said that those predicting political turmoil in Maharashtra should also worry about what the central government, which is unable to handle the corona epidemic, will remain stable.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut wrote in his party mouthpiece, "Those who are claiming that there will be a political change in Maharashtra after the may 2 elections should also remember that shocks will be felt in Delhi as well.'' Sanjay Raut, who is also the executive editor of the mouthpiece, said Mamata Banerjee's victory in West Bengal would be a personal defeat for PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who led the election campaign in the state.

He further wrote, "Those claiming that the future of the Maharashtra government depends on the results of West Bengal are living in misunderstanding. I wonder on what basis some people are saying that Amit Shah will now focus on abolishing the Maharashtra Government. They will either lure the ruling party MLAs on the basis of their money power or impose President's rule citing our failure to deal with the virus.”
