Counting of votes for Assam assembly elections has begun today i.e. The trends in the Assam counting have made it clear that the BJP-led NDA is going to win here once again. In fact, at eight in the morning, voting started in 331 polling auditoriums. Initially, BJP was leading in 53 seats, Congress in 28 seats, AJP in 3 seats in Assam. In the Assam assembly elections, the Bodoland people's front was leading in one seat and the Congress party was leading in two seats.

After that, out of 126 seats, 81 seats saw BJP looking towards the absolute majority. The Congress was likely to get 45 seats and the other two seats. On the other hand, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has said, "It is clear that we will form the government. The people have blessed us. You will have to wait till the last count. The trend is in our favor right now.'' Even now BJP leader Hemanta Biswa Sarma is leading from the Jallukbari seat.

The Asom Gana Parishad and the United People's Party have contested the elections in association with the Liberals. The Congress has formed a 'Grand Alliance' with the All India United Democratic Front and several other parties.
