Small Plane Crashes on Florida Highway, Two Dead

Washington: A small plane crashed on a Florida highway Friday afternoon, resulting in two fatalities, as confirmed by the Collier County Sheriff's Office to Fox News. The aircraft, identified as a Bombardier Challenger 600 business jet, went down on Interstate 75 in Naples, Florida, carrying a total of five individuals, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The plane departed from Ohio State University Airport around 1 p.m. ET, as reported by FOX 35. The pilot made an emergency landing request at Naples Airport, citing dual engine failure, shortly after 3 p.m. ET. Following the incident, all southbound lanes were closed, with disruptions also affecting northbound traffic.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and investigations into the crash will be conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. Further updates on the situation are pending.
