Patna: The next hearing in the CBI court in the multi-crore fodder scam case against RJD President and former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav is scheduled for November 30. In this regard, his lawyer has said, "The court will interrogate about 200 witnesses on the next date. Lalu will not appear before the CBI court on that day. He is sick. Doctors are treating him. Therefore, the CBI court has granted him relief from appearing before the body on 30th November. He will be able to make his point through a lawyer.'' However, the lawyer also said that he will appear before the court whenever required. Earlier on November 23, Lalu had appeared before the special court of CBI. Even though the lawyers are saying that Lalu is so ill that he cannot even reach the court, Lalu surprised everyone by driving a jeep in Patna on Wednesday morning (November 24, 2021). The video of 73-year-old Lalu's driving skills went viral on social media. The ailing Lalu was driving an open jeep in the winter season and his fans were sharing it fiercely. Lalu's supporters may have looked happy to share the video, but social media users appeared furious at pretending to be sick and having fun outside the jail. After the video surfaced, he took a dig at Lalu Yadav, a convicted criminal in the fodder scam. One user wrote, "This man, who was convicted of fodder scam in the country, took bail in the name of illness and came out and sometimes campaigned, sometimes taking out processions, sometimes driving. Is the law of our country so weak? This is how the law is played. Another has written on the video of his jeep driving but falls ill in a court appearance. Lalu Yadav had also served the jail sentence citing illness, sometimes in AIIMS in Delhi and sometimes in RIMS, he had very few days in the jail dungeon.
