India's star young swimmer Srihari Nataraj has taken out the third 'best Indian time' in the tournament as he continues his record-breaking performance at the World Championships. At the Fina Short Course World Championships on Monday, she saw an improvement in Sajan Prakash's best Indian performance in the men's 100m freestyle event with a time of 48.65 seconds. Nataraj had also clocked out the 'best Indian time' in 50m and 100m kastroke last week. The 20-year-old Swimmer from Bengaluru, however, failed to make it to the semifinals. He finished 38th overall in the Heat while the top 16 swimmers could have been ranked for the semi-finals. It may be recalled that Nataraj was the only Indian swimmer after Sajan to achieve the 'A' qualifying level for the Tokyo Olympics. In the Other Indian Swimmers at the World Championships, Delhi's Kushagra Rawat in the men's 1500m freestyle was 15 minutes 07. With a time of 86 seconds, he finished 21st in the heat. Tell us that the time and record of this competition are different from the traditional long course. The competition is scheduled to be held in a 25 m swimming pool. Short course meat is held in a pool of 25 metres while the 50 m pool is called long course pool. At some point in swimming, the national record says that when it has been achieved at the National Aquatic Championships, the timing of other competitions is called the 'Best Indian Time'.
