New Delhi: SENIOR BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy often raise controversy with his statements. Once again, his statement has created controversy. Swamy had pleaded with Pakistan just a few days ago to stop the Kartarpur corridor due to tensions in relations. It is the BJP's ally Shiromani Akali Dal which has lodged its first objection to it. Senior Akali leader and Rajya Sabha member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa reacted sharply. He said Subramanian Swamy should withdraw his statement immediately and apologize. Rajya Sabha MP Swamy was here to address the cultural pride forum at DAV College in Sector 10. Talking to reporters, he said India's relations with Pakistan are not working well at the moment. Sikhs should understand that Pakistan is not right for them, so this is the work of the Kartarpur corridor. Swamy's remarks came a day after Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that despite India-Pak relations, the Kartarpur Corridor will be opened at the 550th festival of Guru Nanak Devji and the country will be welcomed from abroad. Subramanian Swamy said that it should be restored only when relations between the two countries are improved. The Kartarpur Corridor and the Referendum 2020 will break the country. Swami said there are empty-minded people demanding Khalistan. Nobody wants Khalistan. I am also a Sikh-friendly one.
