New Delhi: The Congress party has accused Arvind Kejriwal government of power scam in the national capital. Former Delhi Congress unit president Ajay Maken has released a video from his Twitter account saying that Delhi has the highest electricity rates per unit in the country. In this 2 minutes 17-second video, Maken also shows through a graphic of how electricity rates in Delhi have consistently increased since 2013.

According to Maken, "In 2013-14, the rate of electricity per unit in Delhi was 7.36 paise which has reached Rs 8-45 paise per unit by 2019. Maken claims that this is not a small increase, he said, adding that power companies in Delhi had a profit of around Rs 10,000 crore during the last five years. Ajay Maken has said that even after such a huge profit to power companies, Delhi CM Kejriwal has given Rs 8500 crore subsidy to power companies whose accounts have not been audited by the CAG without any scrutiny. What if it's not a scam?'

In a tweet, Ajay Maken also wrote, "Since I resigned as the state Congress president, I have no direct connection with the state of Delhi, but as a responsible citizen, I want you to be truthful."
