New Delhi: A hearing in the Supreme court was adjourned today (Friday) on the petition of the wife of MLA Mukhtar Ansari. It was told by the government that the government lawyers have changed and the advocacy has not been filed, so the hearing for two weeks should be postponed. Now a hearing will be held in this case after two weeks. The petition was filed by Afshan Ansari, wife of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, in the Supreme court. On which the hearing in the Supreme court has been postponed. In this petition, Afshan has requested to ensure the 'security' of her husband and to give a fair trial against him. In the petition filed by Afshan Ansari, it has been alleged that Mukhtar's life is in danger in UP. According to the petition, several attempts have been made to attack Ansari by political enemies who are associated with the ruling political parties. Only after the order of the Supreme Court, Mukhtar Ansari was now brought from the jail of Punjab to Banda jail in UP. Recently, Mukhtar Ansari was brought to Banda Jail of UP from Ropar Jail in Punjab. On the security of Mukhtar, the Jail Minister of UP, Jai Kumar Singh said that the prison manual is being taken care of with CCTV surveillance.
