MUMBAI : Newly appointed vice-captain of the Indian T20 side Suryakumar Yadav showcased some incredible hits during the first practice session in Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium ahead of the first T20I of the series against Sri Lanka. The flashy batter, who gained notoriety in white-ball cricket in 2022, was selected vice-captain of the T20 team as a reward for his great achievements by the selection committee. Suryakumar can be seen training at Wankhede Stadium and hitting some fantastic shots into the nets in a video that the BCCI shared. The video's subtitle read: "a fresh year a fresh start Team India held their first practise at Wankhede Stadium prior to the T20I series opening in Mumbai, led by a new vice captain for the Sri Lanka T20I series named @surya 14kumar."
