Suspicious death of great freedom fighter's great-grandson, mother says 'policemen took their lives'

Bhojpur: A tragic incident is coming to light from Bhojpur in Bihar in which Rohit Singh, the great-grandson of the great freedom fighter Babu Veer Kunwar Singh, has died under suspicious circumstances, following which there has been an uproar in the area. Rohit Singh was 40 years old. Rohit Kunwar Singh lived with his mother and BJP leader Pushpa Singh in the fort. According to Rohit's mother, her son had a quarrel with the policemen guarding the Kunwar Singh Fort complex on Monday night, after which he returned home late last night. It is being said that then Rohit left the house at night itself.

Shortly thereafter, her mother and BJP leader Pushpa Singh received the news of her son being admitted to Jagdishpur Referral Hospital where he was undergoing treatment. The deceased's mother Pushpa Singh has accused the security personnel present on the fort premises of assaulting Rohit and injuring him. At the same time, since this incident, there has been chaos at the spot and policemen have been deployed in huge statistics near the referral hospital.

According to reports, Babu Veer Kunwar Singh's great-grandson Rohit Kunwar Singh used to quarrel with soldiers deployed for security on the fort premises under the influence of alcohol. Apart from this, a few years ago, he had damaged the statue of Kunwar Singh on the fort premises.   Police had also sent the deceased Rohit to jail on charges of damaging the statue. However, the police officer who reached the spot is not ready to say anything on camera about the case at the moment.
