T20 World Cup: Wife Dhanashree reacts after Chahal is not picked for India's squad

Dhanashree Verma, Yuzvendra Chahal's wife and choreographer, wrote a cryptic remark regarding the exclusion spinner from India's 15-member team for the Men's T20 World Cup. With 63 wickets in 49 matches at an average of 25.30 and an economy rate of 8.32, Chahal has been India's highest wicket-taker in T20Is.

However, his name did not appear in the squad for the national championship game on Wednesday. Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel, and Rahul Chahar were India's five spin options. People on social media were baffled by Chah'l's omission from the T20 World Cup team after the announcement.

Through her stories on Instagram, Dhanashree wrote, "Maa Kehti hai ki ye Waqt bhee guzar jana hai. Sar Utha ke jiyo kyuiki Hunar aur ache karm hamesha sath dete hai. Toh ji baat aisi hai ki yeh waqt bhi Guzar jaana hai. God is always great."

When asked why Chahal was left out, former India pacer and selection panel chairman Chetan Sharma stated they wanted a fast spinner who could find grip off the surface, which is why Chahar was chosen ahead of Chahal.
