Taliban happy with Modi govt's budget, says relations between the two countries will...

Kabul: India's Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the country's general budget on Wednesday (February 1). In this, he provided many reliefs to middle-class people. However, on the one hand, where the opposition parties in India are calling the budget zero, on the other hand, this budget is being praised outside the country. The Taliban, the fundamentalist organization ruling Afghanistan, welcomed India's Union Budget 2023-2024 on Thursday (February 2).

The Taliban have said that the announcement of India's aid to Afghanistan will help improve relations and trust between the two countries. This information has been given by Khama Press. The Taliban statement came after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed a $25 million development aid package for Afghanistan in the Union Budget. Actually, India has promised to give 200 crore rupees for the help of Afghanistan. This is the second year of support for the Taliban from India after it took over Afghanistan.

Welcoming India's budget, Suhail Shaheen, a former member of the Taliban's negotiating group, has said that we appreciate India's support for the development of Afghanistan. This will help in improving the relations and trust between the two countries. Khama Press has quoted Shaheen as saying that there are many such projects in Afghanistan, which were funded by India. If India resumes work on these projects, it will boost relations between the two countries and end the atmosphere of mistrust.
