In recent days, the cases of explosions and blasts have risen in southern India. In such cases, many people lose their life without any reason. Recently, Six women have been killed and three others got injured after an eruption took place at a firecracker factory in Cuddalore district's Kattumannarkoil. While one of the injured workers has been admitted to the local government hospital, two others who are critical have been referred to another medical centre for treatment. We are yet to identify the exact cause of the explosion. The radius of the explosion is also not ascertained as of now. We are investigating the matter." The factory is situated in Kattumannarkoil town of the district, 190 km from the state capital Chennai. “It is a licensed unit near Kattumannarkoil,” the Superintendent of Police Sree Abhinav added.
