Tourists coming from India and abroad can now book a taxi through the mobile app before reaching Shimla. With this, tourists will not be cheated now. People of the city will also be able to take advantage of this service. With this, the Transport Department is going to start a mobile app-based prepaid taxi service in the capital Shimla next week. For the first time in the state, this facility is being started from Shimla as a pilot project. In the second phase, this service will start in all the tourist places of the state and in the third phase in all the big cities.
Under the scheme, the profile of the taxi operators of Shimla will be prepared and added to the mobile app. While tourists download the app in their mobile, the pictures inside and outside the car through the taxi profile, copy of driver's license, Aadhaar card, permanent address documents, RC, Insurance, Pollution Certificate of the car. Through the app, the tourists will be able to book a normal or luxury taxi as per the wish, the payment will be made from the app itself, while the mobile number of the driver will also be on the app, so that the need can also be talked. With this, the taxi fare will come on the app after inserting the boarding and debboarding points.
Preparations for starting mobile app prepaid taxi service: Pathania Transport Department Director Captain JM Pathania said that preparations are being made to start a mobile app based prepaid taxi service in Shimla. Through the app, tourists will be able to book a taxi for themselves before reaching Shimla. Local people will also be able to use this service.
Booking of site scene and tour packages will also be done Apart from booking a taxi for movement in Shimla, tourists will also be able to book site scenes and tour packages under this service. Taxis will also be booked through the app for more than one day.
